"SUBMERSE: LIMINAL SPACES"
(MA) Creative Technologies (Semester 2)
Module: Research in Practice
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Social Media
Research in Practice was a group project module during the second semester. The main task was to create a digital exhibition illustrating our work as individual artists. My roles as a group member included the brochure design and graphics and the social media platforms. The project was supported by creating a live website with the online exhibition and an individual critical context report.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
In collaboration with four Creative Technology Master students. The project was inspired by the circumstances of the pandemic influencing exhibition spaces that led to the creation of a digital exhibition called 'Submerse: Liminal spaces'. The digital exhibition is a game-like scene where the viewers can interact with the installations as if they were in a physical exhibition space. The showcase is about Immersive Technologies for creative practice, particularly our Immersive Technologies projects and therefore, all of the artworks are correlate.
The name 'submerse' was formed by combining the two terms' submarine' and 'immerse'. The idea is that the submarine interfaces with the ocean. The user can be transferred from one environment to another through the exhibition rooms, exploring new elements as if they were underwater.

As part of the graphics team, I was also responsible for the control pages, which directly explained how to control the experience in a few words. The control pages involve four icons that indicate whether the experience is audio, visual or both, and they also illustrate whether the user can virtually look around or walk around.
