'THE BOND BETWEEN A HUMAN AND A DOG'

AS1 Art and Design: Fine Art 2015 (Part 1)
Acrylic paints on thick paper, canvas and wood panels

One of the most touching and emotional projects, centred on the strong connection between a human and its pet. Using the concept of growing up with a dog as inspiration, I decided to focus on this topic. The realistic drawings depict my bond with my dog and the difficult moment of saying goodbye, which is based on my actual experience with my Rex.

FINAL PIECE

The final piece consists of a large canvas painting showing a photo of Rex. The black and white painting contrasts with his coloured laser-cut toys, indicating that the memories will last forever.

The artwork was displayed in the final art school exhibition for the whole period of summer

'ENERGY, POWER AND DYNAMISM'

AS1 Art and Design: Fine Art 2016 (Part 2)
Acrylic paints on thick paper and wood panels

The idea was motivated by my interest in supernatural series and TV shows throughout my teenage years and my desire to watch them. The work was inspired by magical creatures, characters, and scenes from my favourite series, emphasizing the contrast between natural and supernatural worlds. My purpose with my realistic paintings was to let the audience believe in their existence.

FINAL PIECES

The final piece consists of two paintings illustrating clearly the contrast between the natural and supernatural worlds. The hands were painted after the participation and photography of two students.

The tiny insects were also painted in various locations across the exhibition to blend in with the final pieces.
